What we believe about creators, about culture, and about why the current system isn't working for either of them.
Every major platform measures content by what keeps people scrolling, not by what is actually good, meaningful, or worth making again. Food and culture creators are asked to produce at volume, optimize for thumbnails, and chase trends they didn't start.
We think distribution should be built around the work, not the other way around.
When you upload to a free platform, you are not the customer. You are the product. Your content earns that platform advertising revenue that is mostly never shared with you.
We operate differently. Non-exclusive agreements, clear revenue splits, no lock-in. The content you bring to Savrli remains yours.
A restaurant discovery in Lagos shouldn't only exist on one app. A chef's story from São Paulo shouldn't be locked inside a single feed. Great food and culture content has a life beyond its first upload: on streaming services, in hotel rooms, on broadcast networks.
Savrli is built to move content across all of those surfaces. We are a distribution network first.
The voices that shaped how cities eat, the grandmothers, the night market vendors, the second-generation cooks navigating identity on a plate, are largely absent from mainstream food media. Not because the stories aren't there, but because the infrastructure to find, fund, and distribute them at scale hasn't existed.

Savrli was founded by Kai Lee, chef, restaurateur, and creator, after watching firsthand how hard it is to build a sustainable food business in the content economy. Running restaurants across multiple cities made it clear that the stories worth telling were rarely the ones getting told.
The idea behind Savrli is straightforward: build the infrastructure that good food content deserves. A platform with a real CPM. Distribution relationships that reach past social feeds. Brand partnerships where the creator controls the terms.
